Testimonials

I have been a resident at Lane Cove Gardens for nearly two months – the best decision I have made!

The reputation within the community is correct. This is a well run complex, with friendly, capable and patient staff, who have been most obliging going out of their way, to assist me with this move.

This is a very friendly, inclusive, and social place in which to live, with an abundance of activities available should one so wish to join, and I have been made most welcome to the activities I have chosen.

My special thanks and appreciation however, go to Ashley, the Manager, who gave of his time, kindness, and understanding, his patience, and much more, facilitating my move here. He is much appreciated and highly regarded, and can I say, much loved by the Residents.

All in all, a very happy environment in which to live – close to Public Transport, a “Shopping Bus” to Lane Cove twice a week, a heated pool, a Hairdresser, a fully refurbished apartment, which is wonderful, reasonable levies, and much, much more.

What is not to like? NOTHING.
PERFECT!

Lane Cove Gardens Resident

I have recently returned to Sydney to live after having spent the last 20 years on the Central Coast. I am fortunate enough to have become a resident of Lane Cove Gardens.

I very much appreciate that my daughter and her family can come and visit me here as they are still on the Central Coast, and they can actually make use of the Home Stay Unit and spend a weekend with me. And they love staying here. Being in Lane Cove it is so close to the City, and also to Chatswood, and they love to take advantage of what this offers them.

The Unit has a large bedroom with adjoining bathroom, and a large living/dining area with a sofa bed provided in that area. The Unit can accommodate 4 people to sleep. There is a well equipped kitchen and a large TV equipped with Internet.

We very much appreciate having the use of the Unit, and the Village provides secure visitor parking within the grounds.

When you first set foot in Lane Cove Gardens retirement village, you are immediately drawn to its aesthetic appeal – the beautifully landscaped gardens, the sandstock bricks, and Cedar timber. My unit is also attractive, located on the ground floor of the village with an awesome uninterrupted view over Chatswood Golf Course.

One of the key reasons I moved to Lane Cove Gardens from interstate was to be close to my daughter, but another factor was to be a part of a community. Since I made the move, what I’ve found is there is something for everyone to participate in. Whether it is weekly happy hours, BBQs, birthday afternoon teas, art classes or aqua aerobics, residents are spoilt for choice in terms of how they can choose to spend their time.

Lastly, the village has a great onsite management team who are extremely supportive of resident’s needs. I remember one day when the village cook was away with a sore back, our village manager Melinda stepped in with her apron to do the cooking. This is just one example but serves as a testament to the level of care provided to the residents every single day.

Tony - Chairman of the Residents Committee

Before we moved in to Lane Cove Gardens we looked at a lot of places. Having previously lived in Riverview, proximity to our family, transport, key services and shopping was a must.

Lane Cove Gardens was able to provide access to all these things while being situated in a quiet, idyllic setting among the birds and the trees, with amazing views over Lane Cove bushland and Chatswood CBD.

We were sick to death of gardening and maintenance, and craved the flexibility of being able to lock up and leave when we pleased. Living here, we no longer need to worry. The ever-attentive staff make our lives easy and we can rest assured that when we need assistance, they are here to help.

On a final note, whenever we get visitors, they always remark on how nice the village is, and we have to agree. We love our home here at Lane Cove Gardens.

Making the move to Lane Cove Gardens retirement village has been one of the most rewarding decisions I have made.

One of the best things about living here is the flexibility it provides you in how you decide to live your lifestyle. You can stay actively engaged in the village activities, or if you’re like me, you can live independently – it’s entirely up to you.

I’ve made many friends with the residents here in the village, and one of my favourite things to do is to walk their dogs to keep active!

For those who enjoy communal activities, the village offers a diverse array of options, be it through movie nights, BBQs, shopping buses, hairdressing, and exercise classes, to name a few.

I would highly recommend Lane Cove Gardens. It is a friendly, warm environment with caring staff who are there to support you if and when you need it.

I am so happy I made the decision to move into Lane Cove Garden Village.

From the first time I inspected the Village I was advised that I would be able to contact the staff any time with any query I might have and they assured me it wouldn’t be a problem as they were there to assist me. They sure got a lot of calls from me prior to and after I made the decision to join the “family” at Lane Cove.

As I moved in a week before Christmas you can imagine it was for me at times stressful however the assistance from the management and maintenance staff has been amazing.

The residents have only been too willing to show me around and share their knowledge of “what’s happening” and I have really appreciated their welcome.

Would I? Will I? recommend Lane Cove Gardens. Sure Can!
